Young Actors Theatre Academy

Summer Academy 2016

The Young Actors Theatre at the Birmingham Children's Theatre, one of the nation's oldest and largest professional theaters for children, draws on a six decade legacy of educating and entertaining over twelve million children.

Classes will include acting, music, dance, voice and diction, stage combat, and more! Our curriculum instills fundamental childhood growth skills: teamwork, interpersonal communication, reading, comprehension, self-confidence, self-discipline and leadership; while fostering creativity, imagination and a playful curiosity. Academy instructors are highly qualified, working theatre professionals. Class enrollments are limited to ensure that your child will have access to one-on-one instruction. YAT Academy sessions culminate with a performance piece involving every child.

Registration Information

YAT Academy is now accepting advance registrations for the 2016 Term. Classes are grouped by age, and any child ages Pre K-12th Grade is eligible to attend. Previous acting experience is not necessary! The YAT Academy limits class enrollment, ensuring your child will have access to one-on-one instruction. Advance registration is encouraged, as many class levels will fill up early. No Audition Required.
